Paints & Surface Coating Testing
"PAINT", a small five letter word but having so much impact on our daily life, from the huts of the poorest to the palace of the richest. It is a single product with multiple dimensions - it may be solid, a liquid, a gas or even an aerosol. It can protect, beautify or can act as a smart coating, it can be conductive to electricity or heart or may be its opposite - an insulator. It can show a self healing character, just like the skin of any living being, which is a true example of bio mimicking.
Therefore testing of paints is not simple - for complete testing one has to sail from physics to chemistry to microbiology to nuclear science and to the last but not the least, i.e. for the particle of size @ 10' means "NANO technology." Arrangement of testing of different types of points, convertible/ non convertible, decorative / protective, corrosion / erosion are covered by a number of specifications, e.g. ISS, BS, ASTM, DIN JIS, etc.
We have added an NABL accredited paint testing laboratory to an array of other testing facilities of ours where most of the general parameters are available for testing of decorative and protective paints.
